Standing Behind Montana’s USAFA Cadets — From Every Corner of the 406
Across Montana — from our smallest towns to our largest communities — families watch their sons and daughters take an extraordinary step: accepting an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. Each year, approximately 24 Montana cadets represent our state at USAFA, spread across all four classes (C4C, C3C, C2C, and C1C). They come from ranches, farming communities, mountain towns, and city neighborhoods, carrying with them the values that make Montana special.
Their journey is demanding. The academic load is intense, the military training is relentless, and the expectations are high. Yet these young Montanans rise to the challenge with the same grit, humility, and commitment they learned growing up here. Behind every cadet is a family making sacrifices of their own — missing holidays, milestones, and everyday moments while supporting their cadet from hundreds of miles away.
As parents of Montana USAFA cadets, we work together to encourage and uplift our cadets throughout their four years at the Academy. With your help, we can continue — and expand — the support we provide.
